Since 1 October 2020 Avon Tennis has been a Charitable Incorporated Organisation (CIO) and is regulated by the Charity Commission (Registration no: 1188388). It is also a registered member of the Lawn Tennis Association (LTA).

Avon Tennis is governed by Trustees who are ultimately responsible for the strategy and directing how the organisation is managed. The day-to-day activities are managed by the Avon Tennis Executive Committee with the financial aspects carefully monitored by the Finance & Audit Committee.

Avon Tennis has approved policies and procedures, which are regularly reviewed, to provide structure, guidance and to help the organisation operate in a consistent and fair manner.
The policies are primarily for those who: work for the County (on a paid or voluntary basis); play or train with teams organised by Avon Tennis; and those people who take part in events run by the County and their carers.
The policies are:
