Changes to Junior Squad Sessions - David Lloyd Westbury courts being resurfaced

David Lloyd Westbury indoor courts are being resurfaced from 14th Feb to 20th March 2022.

We have tried to keep as many sessions as possible at the same time & venue, specifically the U10’s & U12 boys who will be training outside on the dates below. Due to no floodlights at David Lloyd Westbury, this wasn’t possible for the U12 girls or our U18 sessions and these have moved to Long Ashton.

This will impact the following session:

20th Feb U12 Boys - this session will now be OUTSIDE at DL Westbury at the same time: 2-4pm – please come suitably dressed for the weather conditions

20th Feb U12 Girls - this session will move to DL Long Ashton and run from 9-11am OUTDOORS. Dress for the conditions.

27th Feb U18 Boys team session - this session will move to DL Long Ashton and run from 10am-12pm indoors.

27th Feb U18 Girls team session - this session will move to DL Long Ashton and run from 6-8pm.

6th March U10 Girls and Boys - will remain at DL Westbury and run OUTSIDE at their normal times (12-2pm girls & 2-4pm boys) – please come suitably dressed for the weather conditions

13th March U12 Boys - this session will now be OUTSIDE at DL Westbury at the same time: 2-4pm – please come suitably dressed for the weather conditions

13th March U12 Girls - this session will move to DL Long Ashton and run from 9-11am indoors.

As well as the convenience of keeping your sessions at the same time and venue, our captains felt it’s important to learn to deal with the outside elements.

The Regional County Cup events for 10’s & 12’s are outside, so it’s good preparation. Our U10’s experienced last year’s County Cup in windy & very wet conditions in Devon. Our boys lost that day and a factor might be because other Counties adapted better in the conditions. So let’s use this inconvenience as a valuable lesson! I know a lot of you train outside anyway.

Should the conditions be unplayable on the day, then we will look to make up the session at a later date, or issue you with a refund.
