Avon Ladies Make County Cup History

Avon Tennis' Ladies Team won their LTA County Cup Group 2 ties at the weekend to earn promotion to Group 1. This is the first time that any of our "open" teams have reached this level so congratulations to all of the team led by Gaby. A close first match saw a win against Cheshire followed by wins against Hampshire & Isle of Wight and Essex.

Meanwhile the men, led by Kristian, were in Grantham battling it out in Group 4 where they had close defeats (4-5) against Somerset and Lincolnshire but rallied on the final day with a win against Lincolnshire (5-1). They finished third and hold their position in the group.
