National Youth League entries are OPEN

We are pleased to tell you that entry for the Avon Youth League Winter 2023-24 is now open and closes on 14th Sept at 5pm . The LTA appreciate this is quite a short timescale but there has been an unavoidable delay in opening the online portal this season.

The Youth League (previously named National League) is primarily a singles based team competition for all abilities and ages, providing regular league matches against similar standard players in a competitive team environment. The Winter Youth League runs from October to March and we hope it will provide a great tennis experience for young players of all ages.

Match Dates

Avon are running our traditional Home and Away schedule so the LTA published match dates do not apply to this County as there aren’t enough for our format. A schedule of dates will be supplied as soon as possible following close of entries. The maximum number of matches that will be scheduled for each age group is 5 pre Christmas and 5 post Christmas but the number of dates actually scheduled will depend on the number of entries is each division.

Teams

When planning your entries please remember that 8U and 9U age groups comprise of 4 player teams and all other age groups in both Division 1 and Division 2 will be 2 player teams (a 3rd player to play doubles only is acceptable). A WTN cap is placed on age groups 11U to 18U so please check these on the entry page (link below)

Age Groups

Competition Age Groups are calculated by the last date of the league. As our league is running from September – March, the 2024 Competition Age Groups will be used throughout the season:

Mixed 8U - 2016 or later

Mixed 9U - 2015 or 2016

Mixed 10U - 2014 or 2015

Boys/Girls 11U - 2013 or 2014

Boys/Girls 12U - 2012 or 2013

Boys/Girls 14U - 2010-2013

Boys/Girls 16U - 2008-2013

Boys/Girls 18U - 2006-2013

Login Details

Each venue has one login and password which is required to enter teams online. It is important that this is given to a trusted captain/venue contact and the password is not changed. If you do not have access to your club login please contact me.
